TRAINING EXPERIENCE

Train people well enough so they can leave, treat them well enough so they don’t want to.

Fluor - Afghanistan

Water Treatment Course Developer / Training Instructor – Fluor Water Supply Country Support Office (CSO), Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan (1 year, 4 months)

Developed for Fluor-Afghanistan from inception to completed course, a 13 module (5 day) training course for water operations in Afghanistan. Went on to teach this course at the site level before co-developing the Computer Based Tutorials (CBTs) based directly off of these modules.

Created and documented weekly Water Departmental training - maintaining a database of all personnel training in the Afghanistan Theater of Operation for Fluor.

Created as needed, supplemental training materials in answer to identified operational issues.

Provided initial orientation to Fluor internal working documents to water department new hire personnel.

Click on images below to view a slide show of the course work I developed.  The first slide show is of the PowerPoint presentations.  The second slide show is of the CBT modules that were developed based on the PowerPoint presentations.  In addition to the course graphics for the both the PowerPoint presentations and CBTs, I also created the audio narrative for the CBT modules.

Maximo® Training Modules for the Water Supply Department

All worked performed by Fluor in Afghanistan was managed through the use of IBM's Maximo® Asset Management System.  Prior to work being performed, a service order was requested and Work Control would issue the service order.  Routinely performed work such as daily water quality testing and reverse osmosis unit operation or weekly RO system checks and services were issued under standing service orders with forms and checklists associated to specific Job Plans within the Water Supply functional area.  The following slides are examples of the training I created to facilitate the correct completion of the different service orders, forms, and checklists within the different Job Plans.
